·        This policy helps us understand the causes of performance issues and how we can work with you to resolve them if possible, through informal action to secure improvement where possible or a more formal process centred around the creation and regular review of a ‘performance improvement plan’.

·        The performance improvement process set out in the Policy involves the use of escalating warnings (up to and including dismissal) if improvement, assessed against the performance improvement plan, does not occur.
