Supporting The Next Generation

Empowering the Next Generation with Real-World Guidance

We believe that shaping a better tomorrow starts with

supporting the next generation today

That’s why we’re proud to be actively involved in schools through our work as an

Enterprise Adviser, helping young people explore future careers through

meaningful, hands-on experiences

We don’t just talk about careers — we bring them to life

Our Role

Through the Enterprise Adviser programme, we collaborate with Bolton Impact Trust to design and deliver impactful career-related activities

Our mission is to ensure young people in school can access inspiring experiences, discover real career paths, and build confidence in their future

We co-ordinate three key interventions each academic year that rely on support from businesses and professionals like you

Why I Got Involved

From Left to Right - Gemma from Bolton Impact Trust; Pam from PM BusinessSupport Services; and Pamela Evans aka Digger Lady after the 2024 STEM week event

After nearly 30 years working in HR, I’ve supported countless individuals through difficult periods in their working lives — times when attendance drops, confidence slips, or performance falters

So often, when you really get to the heart of things, those struggles stem from something much earlier — from school, home life, or a moment in childhood that shaped their self-belief

This made me stop and ask: What if I could be part of something that helps young people earlier? What if I could share what I know now to make the world of work feel less overwhelming and more achievable?

That’s what led me to the Enterprise Adviser programme

.

Through it, I’ve been able to support schools in providing workplace interactions with employers, businesses and professionals that have helped young people understand with greater clarity, confidence, and practical insights from someone who's seen the working world from all angles

It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. And if you’re passionate about your industry, I’d love you to consider getting involved too.
