Our location

We are up and running ready for Friday 22nd September 2023, ready for the relaunch of Stockport Unique Ladies.  The lovely Houldsworth Golf Club are hosting us in the lovely Function Room.

We open our doors for registration at 10:00 a.m. and officially start at 10:30 a.m. 

Houldsworth Golf Club, formed in 1910, is located two miles from the centre of Stockport and 5 miles from Manchester City centre.  We have chosen Houldsworth, as there is ample parking and the train station is 5 minutes away.  The setting is beautiful and the staff are amazing.  We are the rolls Royce of networking after all, so we needed the location to echo this.

Dates and Timings

After our launch date, we then move to the 3rd Thursday of each month.  With the exception of our December, as this will be on Tuesday 12th.

Timings will be registration from 10:00 a.m., with networking starting from 10:30 a.m. and finished by 12:30 p.m.

Format of meetings

· Informal Networking

10:00 a.m. – Half an hour of general networking over a cup of tea or coffee

· Welcome

10:30 a.m. – Welcome, group introductions and notices

· Educational Slot

10:40 a.m. – 10 minute Educational Slot

· Table Networking

10:50 a.m. – Round the table networking giving you the opportunity to share you stories with the ladies on your table.

· Inspirational Speaker

12:00 noon – Inspirational Speaker to inspire you in your personal life and business.

Meeting ends at 12:30 p.m.

Why I became a leader

I have been visiting Bolton Unique Ladies since 2019 as I was disillusioned with the corporate world and started to venture outside of my 25 years career in HR. I tried a few networking groups at the time but felt at home with Suzy and her group and met some amazing and inspiring people.

I explored network marketing and even became a VA and talking this through each time I went to Unique Ladies helped me realise what I wanted to do. HR! So, I went back to my roots and have focused on building my HR consultancy for the last 2 years. This has also allowed me also to really design my business around my passion – management development.

Additionally, as I become more established in my business, I have loved helping others with their business journey, whilst also juggling my own family and mum life. It’s not easy, and I am infamous at dropping the ball, however I am a massive advocate of surrounding yourself with people and communities that are there to celebrate your successes, to support you non judgementally through the tough times and to be that all round cheerleader! This is why I had that lunchtime conversation with Suzy, over a fish finger butty and went for it! Stockport here we come!
